   About Gail
Gail (actually, Abigail) Coppock grew up in the Appalachian Mountains
and Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and followed various career paths
before focusing on artwork.

After earning a bachelor's degree in literature and social sciences from
Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia and a master's in Psychology
from the University of West Georgia, she taught literature, reading and
mathematics on the high school and college levels in Virginia, Texas, and
Georgia.  She also worked as a inner city social worker and as a
psychologist at a training center for people with developmental disabilities.
But now, with her sons grown, she devotes her time to being  a
community volunteer, doing artwork, making jewelry, teaching calligraphy
and botanical art, and flower gardening.  She and her longtime friend
and husband Dave delight in living in the sunshine and lush vegetation of
Sarasota, Florida and enjoy returning to Mansfield, Ohio for the coolness
of the summer months.

She has exhibited her artwork at various venues in Northern Ohio and
Sarasota, Florida, and has mounted several solo shows:  in Georgia,
Virginia, and Ohio.   In addition, she has been accepted in numerous
juried exhibitions and won many awards.  Gail's artwork hangs in homes
and offices in nearly half the states - from Hawaii to New York - as well as
in The Netherlands, France, Canada, Australia, the US Virgin Islands
and Russia.

She is known for her attention to detail, which is her way of expressing
her personal philosophy that the wonders of the  universe can be
experienced just as profoundly in the little things as in the grand
conceptions.
